I realize that as I write this blog summer 2008 has not even ended and I am already talking about summer 2009. This is because God has blessed me with two unique opportunities next summer. While I will be finished with one degree, I have decided I am not ready to grow up yet so instead of looking for a full time job for three months, I am going to work part time and take two missions' trips. My travels will take me to the Caribbean island of Jamaica and Timbuktu-literally.
Through my involvement at my church at school, I have the opportunity to co-lead a 10-day trip to Jamaica with our college group. The details are still being worked out, but I am excited about the trip.
I have also been invited to spend two weeks in Mali, Africa with two of my very dear friends. Traveling to Africa has been a life long dream of mine so this is the trip I am most excited about!! It is also the one that requires the most prayer and preparation.
